Two things stood out as I was reading this morning:

““You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.  No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:14-16 NLT

“But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.” Matthew 5:37 NKJV

I have a beautiful set of the DISCONTINUED Mikasa Regency Hall L3101 China.   It was made in Thailand. It would be fabulous for a family or for someone interested in going to the work to sell these items piece by piece on eBay or Replacement, Ltd.  Both have some of these items listed and for quite a lot. I just don’t have the time nor storage space to hang on to it.

There are 53 pieces, and I believe just 5 have chips of some sort.  The dinner plates have some utensil wear, but overall the dishes are in very good to excellent condition.

10 dinner plates (1 has very small chip) – 15
10 salad plates -10
9 bowls (3 chipped) -10
12 cups -5
7 saucers (1 chipped) -4
1 serving bowl -15
1 platter -15
1 sugar bowl with lid -12
1 creamer -6

53 pieces
48 pieces (+5 chipped pieces, which are still usable)
360+24+48=$432

What a Great Day 10-18-15

What a great day!  One of my favorite part about Sundays is getting to sleep in a little bit in the morning then snuggle with my kiddos before I get out of bed. Today I got to do that then we went to Church for Sunday school and the morning service.  While I made lunch Trevor and the kids started on a project they’ve been wanting to do for a while, which was to make a teepee in our backyard. They spent most of the day working on it with a Costco break in the middle. Trevor barbequed chicken for dinner and we ate both lunch and dinner out on the patio.  I even got a little bit of time to just relax on my own as I watched them work. Now everybody is still outside playing in the teepee and having so much fun. What a great day!

Well, dear, cousin, I believe that it is only God who can truly hear and answer prayer and the Bible is clear that “He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Eph. 3:20).  So I am praying now that He will do immeasurably more than we can ask or even imagine in His healing of your body. Love you.

Why our church exists 2/28/16

Why our church exists:

1.  Exalt the name and cause of Christ
Mt. 4:10, Jn 4:23-24

Worshipping him and making his cause known.

Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

2.  The great commission
Mt 28:16

Winning souls
Discipling – leading and walking with people.

“I know it’s not politically correct, but what you need is Jesus and nothing else will solve your problem.”

3.  The great commandment
Mk 12:28-31

Love the Lord and your neighbor as yourself
